2. Butterfly Walk
Did you know there is a Butterfly Walk on Chicago’s bustling Michigan Avenue? The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum installed Flight of the Butterflies.
39 hand-painted butterfly sculptures might not be the first thing you notice in between towering urban buildings and city shopping.
But they’re surely not to be missed. Local Chicago artists carefully curated each unique design. It’s also a great free thing to do while exploring Chicago!

3. West Town Art Walk
The West Town neighborhood features a free art walk at the end of every fall in Chicago.

Little Puerto Rico does not gain nearly the attention it deserves for its beautiful murals. The street in Humboldt Park begins and ends with the ginormous, metal, Puerto Rico flag statues.
Tip: Visit during the summer in Chicago to catch the Puerto Rico Festival. It’s usually at the beginning of June.
6. Pilsen
Pilsen is a vibrant neighborhood in Chicago’s Lower West Side known for its rich arts and cultural scene. It features striking street murals, including those along the 16th Street Wall, and numerous galleries showcasing local and international art.
The National Museum of Mexican Art is a must-visit for its extensive collection of Mexican culture and history.
