Are you planning an Arizona Girls Trip? This is the guide for you!
I have created an ultimate girls’ trip itinerary so you can experience the best of Arizona.
I have visited Arizona at least 15 times and have determined my favorite local spots and tourist attractions! I can’t wait to help you plan your own girls’ trip to Arizona.
This itinerary is super detailed and includes jam-packed activities all day. I highly recommend that you make this itinerary all your own, and choose to fit into your day what works best for your travel style!
Some of the best things to do on an Arizona girls’ trip include exploring the Desert Botanical Gardens, Old Town Scottsdale, hikes and wineries in Sedona, and The Grand Canyon.
Day 1: Phoenix and Scottsdale
Brunch

Begin your girls’ trip to Arizona with a delicious Phoenix brunch!
I loved my strawberry shortcake pancakes at Hash Kitchen. Hash Kitchen is a highly-rated girls’ trip spot for its DJ and bloody mary bar.
If you are not interested in a party spot or bloody marys, other highly rated options Morning Squeeze, First Watch, and Alo Cafe. I have also had many great experiences at First Watch!
Botanical Gardens

Strolling the beautiful Botanical Gardens is by far one of the best things to do in Scottsdale, especially your girls’ weekend!
The vibrant, desert flowers make for amazing photography and tranquil relaxation. I love learning about all of the plants that thrive in the desert.
This is a great way to start your trip and get a background of all the amazing desert things you will see!

Old Town Scottsdale

Old Town Scottsdale is highly known for its vibrant nightlife. This is one of the reasons it has become a prime girls’ weekend destination in recent years!
The area features boutique shopping, local artisan products, and local weekend events.
If you just want to walk around and explore, it also makes for a great free thing to do in Scottsdale.
Alternate Day 1 Options:

Day 2: Sedona
Hike Devil’s Bridge
I have been to Sedona at least 8 times and have only begun to scratch the surface of its many hiking trails!
Devil’s Bridge is one of the most highly-rated trails in Sedona. I highly recommend arriving here first thing in the morning.
When I arrived at the trailhead at 9:00am on a Saturday in winter, it was already too late and the entire parking lot was already filled up.
During summer months, the parking lot is entirely closed on the weekends and you need to take a shuttle.
I highly recommend checking the website for the most up-to-date planning.
Jeep Tour
Jeep Tours are an adventurous way to get off the beaten path in Sedona and get off the trails! It’s a top recommendation on a Sedona girls’ weekend trip.
⭐Other Highly Rated Sedona Tours
Winery Tour + Lunch
Going on a winery tour through Sedona is a lovely way to experience the afternoon with your girlfriends. This is at the top of my list for my return trip to Sedona!
You can choose a winery or two that you would like to visit on your own or book a winery + lunch tour that covers the planning details for you.
Hike

Get one more Red Rock mountain hike in before dinner.
Easy hiking trails include Teacup, 7 Sacred Pools, and Yavapai Vista.

Sunset on Red Rock Scenic Byway
Red Rock Scenic Byway is one of the most popular and scenic roads in Sedona. Capture some amazing sunset memories with your girlfriends while you wind down from a long day.
There are several scenic stops along the drive. One of my favorites is Airport Mesa. (There is a fee to park in this lot).
Dinner in Downtown Sedona
Downtown Sedona features several local dinner spots. These can be pricey because Sedona is a touristy area.
If you are looking to save money, I recommend picking up groceries from a local store like Basha’s and preparing your own dinner at your hotel.
Alternate Day 2 Options:
- Sedona Spa

Day 3: Day Trip to Grand Canyon
Grand Canyon

There are several easy ways to get to the Grand Canyon from Sedona. It’s approximately a 1.5 hour drive. You can also easily hop on a day tour from Sedona to Grand Canyon to remove the planning.
Once at the Grand Canyon, you truly have your pick of activities! You will not have time to hike the entire Grand Canyon in this short of an amount of time, but you will have time to drive to the north and south end of beautiful viewpoints.
⭐Grand Canyon Day Trips
Flagstaff
If you drive to Grand Canyon, you might consider stopping in Flagstaff on the way back to Sedona.
Flagstaff is an adorable small, mountain town where the Grand Canyon begins. Its known for its unique arts scene and downtown.
Alternate Day 3 Options:
- Extend in Sedona and skip the day trip to Grand Canyon
